Thanks

Like Jackie Gleason said about the Miami Beach Audience.
Goose , you are the greatest in the world. Thanks for taking the time
to do it.
Your humble servent,
Hawkeye:thumbup:

It seems like to me the groves are wider on the kalinga. But it is a larger
heaver knife than the 110. Do the feel different in the paw?
Man that wood from Hawaii is too cool.
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Here is another set for your viewing pleaser. The Kalinga is a heavy and larger knife, the blade sweep is sweet and would make a great skinner. It fills my hand very nicely.

Thanks John. Those 2 make a great looking pair.
Thanks for the pic's. Thats not the 110 you took
hunting last year is it? The one in the pic is a drop blade.

Yeah John...nice set.

Jeff...thanks for the kind words regarding the Koa wood. I love it.

As for the positioning...I have set up some pics for you too look at. Didn't publish here as a consideration for the bandwidth impaired.
On all the pics, the grip was applied and then I lifted my fingers so you could see the relative position of the digits. The 701 is heavier, but doesn't feel bad in the mitt at all. You have more room to adjust as compared to the 110FG. I especially like the choil on the Kalinga.

This three legged dog swings open the door to the saloon and shouts out, "I WANNA KNOW WHO SHOT MY PAW!!!!"
Get it? ha ha ha...

Goose...

Sorry it took so long to reply.Travel day!!
Thanks for those great shots ,of the Kalinga, and 110 FG NS
grip compairson. That helps a lot to see finger groove difference .I am A wood scale kind if guy.But that Buffalo scale is really growing on me.
The 701 even has another finger groove in frount of the guard.

The Dogs POW, HA,HA, LOL.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Ride safe.
Jeff

Yeah, I really like that "extra groove". I find I use that choil often on my 889SBMF and wish the one on the Rosie Dorado 270 was a bit wider.

You are welcome for the pics. I enjoy doing 'em.

As for the "dog's paw"....I was thinking that I didn't explain it well...you know "Paw" = "Pa" as in "dad". Then I remembered we're the smart pillocks ;)

Buff grows on ya. It really is beautiful especially with some white swirls in it. I would think the smooth would get all gouged out and scratched as an EDC so maybe as a display knife they are ok. But the EDC 110BuffCote I have is a beauty...
It's Irish Buffalo though and doesn't show scratches.
