i tell's ya it was wrose then haveing to get the dead calf that
broke in half pulling it outa the live cow,
all up past ya elbows and that close U's knows
how close ya nose it to da base of the tail ...
but on a dairy farm ya's gota do waht ya's gotta do ....
 
In South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida, a "cooter" is a big turtle that you eat. I am not sure about the rest of the U.S. Also, snake is not so bad to eat, just hard to get alot of meat from but very easy to skin (just thought you might like to know).
 
i lived too long in SC and not long enught in fla and coonass's in batton roughe all say a cooter is a big snaping turtle that you eat. some others also get eaten a lot but mainly snaping turtles... they hide under the bank and get on your trough line...

they say there are 5 diffrent meats on a turtle...
 
I always enjoy seeing a thread degenerate and spiral out of control. :D

We went from nail nicks to cooters (I ate there once, but it gave me gas. :o ) to a possum feedin' on 2 feet of maggot covered, dead cow intestines. Dang, you Buck guys are fun! :thumbup:

:cool: :rolleyes: ...We get together in spirit and plan our "degeneration" TAH...It's not easy to be a great "degenerate"...but we work hard at it...:p :p :eek:

We have gotten pretty good at it...Most of the moderators seem to have despaired of ever regaining control of this Forum... :D

It's like the inmates running the asylum...we even have our own doctors... :p

...but yes, I sometimes use the nail nick.
Opening a 110 with two hands? Nope. Pinch it.
Opening with one hand? Sometimes, halfway open near my toesies ( :eek: ). Quite often, I thumb the blade open using the nail nick as a friction point (think Spyderco hole...).

ugh.. the doc said "yes Z canz".
i checked and it is a buck 531 and it will have your lifetime membership mumber on it.
if you are an anual member you can elect to keep your anual member number as i did but the knife already had the number on it.
ena at the store said she thought there were several more in back on shelves as the last in the display case were bought by one man, for himself and two sons.
the knife alone can sell for up to 120 on its own...
it was a limited edtion of only 500 numbered...
the full retaile on the knife is over 300.
so even at larry o's discount it still is a 150$ knife!
ugh.. the doc is not an MD so dont pay him to much mind...
i try to keep him in the other room...
