110 off-center blade

What is the difference between the EcoLite and the regular Paperstone handles? They are both shaped, and are both made of Paperstone, so I don't see anything that would really be different.

Well, I don't have any revealed wisdom on this, but . . .

. . . the only difference I see between my (new) Paperstone Ranger and my EcoLite 112 is 1) color (EcoLite comes in maroon-red and granite-green, while the "Paperstone" is black), and b) finish (the EcoLite finish seems to be a little bit smoother, nothing you can see with the naked eye, but you can feel it).

Aside from that, I would deem them "same."

I'm open to other observations.

By finish do you mean the matte finish like the Paperstone Vantage has (for the Paperstone model, not EcoLite)? From what I could see on the photos (which are not particularly reliable), the EcoLite looked to be somewhat polished.

The ones I just got have an "almost polished" finish. Not quite as glossy as the EcoLite, smoother than the matte finish.

I'll be able to hit these with a camera tomorrow, and I'll see if I can capture the visuals of the finish to convey that.

The black Paperstone is kinda "Goldilocks" in that it's not too smooth and not too rough. Kinda just right.

I really liked the Paperstone Vantage, so if either the EcoLite or Paperstone has the same finish, I will buy it so fast (when I get the money).

I think I may wind up getting a Paperstone Ranger, because while I did like the classic feel of the 110, it was just plainly too heavy. With it being essentially a brass ingot with a blade in the middle, it seemed like it weighed as much as my Ka-Bar. I know that Paperstone is, for a fact, lighter than brass by a lot. Some people LOVE the classics, but it seems like I am more of a modernized classics guy.
well tha pilgram .. tad heavy fer yua .. yep time or two a few others thought same as you
now if'n ya would pardon my but'n in
might i sujest a buck light .. same nice size as the 110
same hand filling shape but as says
lite.
same 110 blade but with light weight handle!!
and dey r finger groved also ...

Still no camera, but I can report that the Paperstone finish is decidedly matte and not glossy.

I spent a few minutes today with the two 112s side by side in good light.

EcoLite = glossy and smooth. Paperstone = matte and "mostly" smooth.

The "Paperstone" finish will grip better, but it's not so harsh that it will tear up your pocket.

I should get more of these.

Hope they'll run some Paperstone 110s.

Pics still to follow.
