Another good reason to love the 110 is that Longmire uses one. ;)
Umm ... May I ask what and/or whom a "Longmire" is?

If a TV show ... well ... I quit watching TV in 2001, when I started working at a TV station.
I've not owned a TV since the FCC forced the on-air TV stations channel 2 to 13 inclusive to broadcast digital.
That was an unfunded mandate, by the way. It forced the TV station I worked at off the air.
We did not have the million plus dollars to convert to digital broadcasting. :(

As for Cable TV? I found that even with 350 stations to choose from, there really wasn't anything I found worth watching. :(

This is Longmire...

One of the greatest television shows ever, with a main character as cool as they come.

Surprising the 110/112/119 combo carry does not have more votes.

I like the 110 over the 112. If I switch to a 112 it feels lacking, the blade is too short and stumpy, not as bad in drop point though (perception).
However I really like the front bolster of the 112 10 times better and wish it was on the 110, and notching it into the 110 just ain't gett'n it, maybe functional but looks bad.

I prefer the 110 over the 112 but carry neither. I like knives that can be worn discreetly so I use a spitfire everyday.

I run a seam 1/2 way up my right rear pocket. This allows me to carry my 110 in my rear pocket.

More discrete than a pocket clip.

110s are cool, but I prefer the 112 or 500 for EDC. I'm still waiting for my aluminum 112 for a more pleasant and enjoyable pocket carry experience--just sayin'.

Well ... I made a decision ... of sorts ...

Since the Lil' Jack is so fancy, (and so I won't have to polish it so often) I'll use it for my "Sunday Go To Meetin'" knife, and get a "regular" 112 for everyday use ... though truth be told ... I'm kinda sorta seriously thinkin' a C&C Oak covered 110 and 112 with 5160 blades would make for a nice MEDC (Monthly Every Day Carry) rotation ...

Yes but not as easy to access I bet

I find it infinitely easier than pocket clips, actually.

The secret is to keep the seam at least an inch shorter than the knife, so when you reach in, the butt end of the handle is easy to grab. Can easily be done with gloves.

It's much easier to return to pocket as I don't have to catch the pocket with the clip.

And, it doesn't bang on cars and doors.

When outdoors it's a Buck 110 for me 90% of the time, a Buck 112/422 the other 10%. Funny thing I've noticed about the 110/112 is in comparing the old and new builds. An older, blocky 110 and a new radiused 110 feel about the same heft and weight when I carry or use the knife. In contrast an old style 112 feels about as bulky as either 110 - however the newer 112 feels like a much smaller knife to me. The 112 size really benefits from the radiused edges much more than the 110 size does. OH

It depends on what you want to do a 112 won't hit the vitals like a 110

Why not? There are plenty of places to use your 112 to protect yourself and it would do major damage. Like the groin, kidneys, neck, temple, eye sockets, inside of either elbow (major bleeding). You can do alot of damage with the long car keys in your fist with the key coming out in between your knuckles.

A tool is a tool, you just have to know how to use it...

That's very very true, a screwdriver will do the job ,I would rather have a 110, The 110 will do bad damage where ever you hit hard your going to leave a deep wound channel to bleed out ,maybe not the scull, maybe so it has a nice big handle to grip, the rid cage is on the thick side. I have more targets with a 110 to end a fight, it's best to have a gun,but a knife doesn't misfire, it could go on and on, I'll take the 4" blade, if I have 2 options , I firmly agree the 112 is very deadly, and it's a stronger knife, it's the man using the knife, I've found 10 to 1 blades that wobble, and bent rockers on 110 compared to 112's, I'm great full to God I never got into a spot on the street where I would need to do deadly harm to another man, I have carried a .45 for the last 50+ years, I don't need to make a choice, I just need a little more room. I love the 112 and the 110 for work tools, I tend to favor the 112. George God bless

I don't use a knife for defense.
I have a couple quarterstaff/walking sticks and a can of bear spray for that.

(Bear Spray works on quote/unquote "people", too.)

I love the 110 and the 112 and I am sure many bad and good people have been cut up with them. But I think their sweet spot is general utility and deer processing.
