110 pineapple harvest...

So JB, The plant on the top can be removed and started on it's own? That's interesting. Not interesting enough to try to grow some...I'm tired of feeding the animals. The only crop here that survives the critters is pomegranates and this year it rained too much in the spring for them. didn't get a single bloom.

The real solution is racoonpossumvenisonlittlebirdy stew. I just can't bring myself to kill em because they're hungry. Folks come out and see my garden and fruit trees and ask me what I grow. I respond "criiters".
yes Sir. there is another part that can be planted and it will grow too I believe faster but I started the top method before the internet so I'm stuck in my old ways.

need a hawaii expert on this topic..... @MolokaiRider

I like your stew idear.....growing critters... hilarious, but at the same time ain't that the truth.

Don’t know that area yeah it gets cold here I will put in a pot I guess and bring in . I did grow a apple tree I started it from a seed keep it inside the first winter and then put it in the ground last year it’s about 7 foot tall now but still no apples.

It may never. Fruit trees need to be grafted. Seed take after the root stock and that may not be a producing plant. At that size it's still graft-able.

Most commercially sold fruit are hybrids to get the best yield and at a specific times. They are grafted to root stock to control growth and help fend off diseases and soil conditions. When planting a seed from a store bought fruit its hard to say what if any fruit you will actually get. It could be a parent version of the apple you got or it could be sterile to protect the company that hybridized that specific apple. Commercially trees are grown from cutting and grafted to root stocks to ensure similar results from trees and protect investment in the apple variation.

Isn't that what I said?

I've got some pear trees and they didn't produce fruit until they were about 12 foot tall..... That took about 15 years.

Now they do well, if I can keep the squirrels away.
