That smokey place in the mountains has the Buck 110 slim with black micarta handle and D2 steel. Not big on the etching, but I do like the black micarta they pictured.

This will probably be the first of many to have different steel in the 110 slim series.

420 and s30v now D2

I normally don't care about writing on the blade, but man, they REALLY laid it on thick on this one. Still cool to see another steel and black micarta, though. The natural micarta Pro is still one of my favorite knives.

I would like to know who thought that it was a good idea to plaster the HUGE D2/Slim on the blade?

omg i likes dat dayum blade shape!!!
may hapes i will look fer dang D2 in a 110 brass package...
i hates it when i sees some thin i likes like that,,,
cause it seems that when i wakes up after some shed juice one shows up in the mail a few days later...

The etching completely ruins this knife for me... Damn shame as I would be interested in trying one out in D2.

Not sure if I'm allowed to say this, but it looks like they went full cold steel on that thing, but even worse. At least cold steel keeps it in the upper half of the blade.

I wonder who at buck had to add it. I feel it could easily have turned into an inside joke, like a wall of "bad ideas" that customers have requested from the special orders division.

Besides the hideous lettering, that's a really cool knife. I wonder if they charge extra to have it removed?

I suspect Scotch Brite and elbow grease would take it off fairly quickly.
