Recommendation? 110 Slim Select Pocket Clip

I said it was perfectly adequate and it worked fine, I didn't knock it at all, despite a lot of people being very vocal about hating it.

When I mentioned personality I was talking about "making it yours" basically.

A lot of people drive the exact same vehicle, same color, same wheels, same interior. Sometimes its nice to make it yours, how you see it or make it fit you and your interests.

Kinda like your sheaths (which are nice btw). Buck makes a sheath and its unique to Buck, they work great. But sometimes people want something a little different and/or want to make it theirs or more functional to/for them. That's great too, yes? Thats all I was doing. :)

Eta, I probably wouldn't have mentioned it at all besides in passing, unless someone asked, but I noticed several people were interested in changing their clips for whatever reason. And I thought I'd share to help out.
I may of spoke out a time or two about a branded clip put on one. I guess to me thats like putting a Chevy emblem on a Ford.

Well its not actually a "spyderco clip". Its an MXG clip that is made for spyderco that fits several knives with similar spacing actually. Kinda like putting Classic Crager wheels on a Camaro, or a Mustang.

its all good. I wasnt knocking you for doing anything. Even said the clip looked good.

I know. I'm just having conversation. I don't blame you for liking it like it is/was. Actually with several saying they didn't like it I was all set up to possibly not like it myself, but it wasn't bad at all. I think if it hadn't been so wide near the top it would be great. I just sas the knife and knew what clip I wanted on it right off, so I went with it.

I actually have a lot of respect for Buck for making these knives to begin with. A lot of fans of similar knives are already kinda brandcentric in some ways, and a lot of Buck owners are very traditional, so it had a chance of not going over well. That includes adding a clip to basically a traditional design.

I think it was well executed and hope people on both sides will give one a try and like it. I imagine they are selling fine now though.

Spyderco Delica clip is a direct fit, and that specifically goes for two hole aftermarket clips.

I will say, the factory clip is perfectly adequate. The anvil thing is kinda 'Meh', but its not terrible. The factory clip is snug, keeps it in your pocket, etc, so if thats all thats keeping you from getting any of these clipped folders by Buck...well you're missing out! Don't, just get one.

If you want a little more personality or whatever then there are reasonably priced clips in all kinds of shapes and colors.
That looks so much better than the original one.

I just picked up a 112 Slim and I'm kind of liking the wide clip. I've got several pair of pants with the top of the pocket all frayed from daily carry with thinner clips. I want to see if the wider clip has less wear and tear on the jeans.

A couple colors of some titanium clips. I do prefer the factory clip. Being able to grab the deep carry knife by pinching on the oval cutout makes it easy. 15875324615903433952219347781050.jpg 20200421_220638.jpg 20200421_220629.jpg 20200421_220619.jpg 20200421_220226.jpg 20200421_220211.jpg 20200421_220202.jpg 15875324615903433952219347781050.jpg

I know you guys will love this idea?! We should talk to Buck and get them to do all tip down in the future!

I was just giving people a hard time. I actually carry either way, but my Spydercos I carry tip down. Its just a preference generally, I think people get away to defensive about it, which is why I was elbowing (joking).
i suspected you were heckling but......I like tip up, so ya werent gonna get a like from me on that heckling.:p:D.......but if it comes tip down I dont care enough to change it over. if it can be changed over.
