110 stamp question

Haven't heard from the Uncle with this Rosewood knife. I'm not sure my FatherInLaw has given it to him yet. All the others were delighted with their knives. Esp. the Uncle that got this one

Did you make up a special jig to cut/sand the scale blanks (off the liner)???
 
No jig. I just grind the rivets down flush with the scale, punch the rocker rivet down to the liner and then slide a box cutter blade between the liner and and scale. I forgot who suggested this...maybe you or Don. One problem with this way is I dont salvage the old inlay for reuse other than as a pattern. Thats OK though, for the most part its just been the standard obeechee wood.
