110 version 3 data needed

Well from all the third version 6 and 7s that I have had the rocker pin has always been flat
and the handle pins on the 3-7 do have a rounded head to them but not like our modern knives of today
the handle pins used on the 3-7 are different and very unique and thats why I like them so much .

Through the line up of 1st Version, 2nd Version, & 3rd Version through variation 7, all of mine have flat brass rocker rivets(all more or less flush w/the wood inlays, depending on shrinkage). The first variation I have, with a raised rounded rocker rivet, is a 3rd Version, variation 8. As collectors, we all know there is an exception to given examples, out there...somewhere.

Hi,
I've seen the 4 pin is in the data, someone emailed me that he has a meeting with Joe in the spring, he wrote that he told Joe about the 4 rivet because they weren't in the data, it must have been a long time ago because they have been there for a long while.

Hi, I've been gone a while the picture of the 110 on the red background with the 2 large inlay rivets looks like it, the rocker rivet on mine is headed and the same size on both sides, I attemped to post a picture it a few times but no luck. Thanks George

Hi, I think the version 3 that I have is a var.7 that never had the rocker rivet flattened, I suppose Buck sanded them at that time, the blade is set high when it's open, I don't know if that was intentional the rocker lock notch is very close to the end of the brass when the blade is open maybe that was just something that happened when the tang was milled, the more I look at it the more I think that's it. I've only had about a dozen version 3's this one may have just been made a little different, the standard inlay rivets have to be larger than the ones that Buck uses now, all of the other 3's I've had have small headed or tiny so I don't have one to compare it with. Thanks for all the help I have to work on posting pictures when I have time it probably would saved lots of time. George God bless
