Thanks Skyhorse, I have no idea how many were made... I have two of them... and Haebbie has one... I'm sure there's alot more out there... Buck made a few different knives with trains on the blades... I think there is a 112 and a 317 and few more 110s with a train on the blade out there... ITE ...
 
Hi ITE, the etchings are the same, but there's more contrast in the "black" tones.
The reason may be the different surfaces of the the knive blades. But that's only a guess.

Well, there is some irony for you. It would be against the rules for us to carry that on duty. Must be older because I don't think they would give those out to us now.
 
I don't have pictures but the project was done by a third party in 1989. The etch is very similar but the logo is in front of the train on a 110.
