I had both and in my hands, 1111 beats the 1311 in power of wood destruction
More weight and same speed = the heavier wins (e=1/2mv²) (they're too near in weight to feel a difference of speed when i hit something, in my experience)
There's a lot more that goes into chopping power than (e=1/2mv²). Edge geometry being one example. I'll have to agree that the 1311 seems more "powerful" to me.

I prefer the 1311 over the 1111. I do more damage for the type of cutting that I use it for. I do not process fire wood and I believe that the geometry of the 11 favors that kind of work.
I remember comparing the grind angle of the 13 and the 11 with the 13 having a steeper saber grind because of the slimmer blade profile. I don't remember the numbers but the difference was not insignificant. That was just one sample of each but the saber grinds on those two were just about the same height.
I use my 13 for removal of medium to large vegetation mostly. From removing banana trees and palms up to limbing tropical hardwoods. The 13 is great at taking off 3 inch branches at shoulder height. I prefer the reach of the 13 and it seems to do one stroke cuts more consistently for me.
