Its cast ground up sunflowers

The scales are all natural,There gound up pieces of the sunflower its self ,Then pressed into a desired thickness {compacted} Then are stabilized, they don't have a casting over them, they are just stabilized.meaning pulling resin through the pressed husk itself to harden and stabilize it in a scale form . The sunflower scales give this blade a very unique appearance, looks like heavily burled dyed/stabilized wood.
