112 fans...bcci doing a take apart version...

Only 100 being made yet no quantity limit and snail mail. What if... oh never mind. I'm definitely in for one.

Cool beans. Well that's not very many. It's definitely neat.

So u mail in the form and they send u a ticket to the battle royal, last 100 standing.

WAHHHHAA! I just see this and even though I told KathyJo the Joe Houser Copper frame custom was the LAST 112 I was buying till the Blade Show I absolutely will get this one. I haven't seen the newsletter yet but I have been waiting for this one for a long, long time..Thank you BCCI!!!

thought youd like this one Sir.

bucksway - The great news is that you have until May 1st to place your order so you can wait until after the blade show and still keep your word with KathyJo. Now that is a win win. They need to make some optional handle scales and blades so you can build the knife as you want. That should be the next BCCI offering. Blades and handle options for the take apart 110 and 112.

Next they need to do a take apart 500.

take apart slims would be nice.......

tiguy7..That BG42 blade was one of only 100 apox Joe Houser had made around 2004 just for forum members who had been asking for a BG42 112 for over a decade..Buck put that in your knife for $35.00 and kept the blade that was in it. So that is a pretty special 112 as is.

That’s why I’m short of loose 112 blades. They kept the old one. Help me with the math. If I put a 1 of 100 blade in a 1 of 100 handle, what is the new rarity and how is it expressed?

That would make it a 1 of 1. But just from reading it seems bucksway would almost rather send u another 112 to break down then to see that one done lol. But the way u swap blades in that 110 I'm sure ull come up with something cool.

No doubt it would be 1 of 1, but the 1 of 100 donors value just went to 00.
If you never intended for it to be sold then that would be fine.

I was looking back in the Forum searching for odd 112's for years now and I'm still amazed at just how many folks asked for a BG42 112..both before and after Joe convinced Buck to make the small run (just 100 or so) of blades for the 112. In the early 2000's there was not a lot of choices of super steels and BG42 was the absolute King for Bucks Custom shop...and many still consider it the best user steel . If Buck offered it today, even for a one time option, even at a high price for the 112 or 110, Buck would sell out quickly. 300 I went ahead and sent my order in for just one of the BCCI 112's because it truly is a important 112 if you collect odd one's like I do. Lots of firsts for this one too. First and only aluminum frame, take apart construction plus one of the very few Ironwood LE 112's and a coated blade. Plus one of only a handful of BCCI club 112's. Lots of value and rarity in a 112 and I'll go on record here saying IF we see one ever listed on Ebay out of the 100 made asking price will be over $400.00...and maybe more.

Personal quandary, do I order this or wait for the Buck forum knife....I know order both will be the advice from you enablers...err....I mean forum members...:D

For me and my money it's the BCCI 112. It will have the BCCI tang stamp and limited number of them produced.

I've heard of but not seen a prototype aluminum frame 112..When the 110 version came out I was really excited about it as being a major step in the evolution of the 110 and hopefully the 112. But so far just a few (3 or less?) models in aluminum have happened..Is the wholesale cost high? I thought we would see dozens by now.
