112 fans...bcci doing a take apart version...

View attachment 1115278 The construction is more complicated than the standard 110. The rocker pin is replaced with a headed rivet. The blade pivot is an octagonal headed T-nut. The front bolster has an octagonal recess to immobilize the pivot post. The spring holder has 2 D-holes to immobilize the D cross section T-nuts in the rear bolster. The handle slabs have pressed in brass nuts to hold the handle insert screws. The frame appears to be Ceracoated

Has the BCCI had any blades and/or handles made for the 30th anniversary take apart 110 yet? I don't remember anyone talking about it..I know tiguy7 has modified quite a few blades so he can play dress up with his but I don't think he has made other handles yet?? I hope Buck really runs with the whole idea for both the 110 and the 112 outside of the BCCI issues as I think the possibilites Buck could do with a modl are endless! From a collabilltty standpoint its obvious that every single piece they made for them would be sought after and individual handles and blades and even frames could have a VERY nice profit margin...From yearly handles and blades issued to Custom orders initialized with names or logos..If I have a chance to buy a dozen different blades and handles..3 or 4 frames I would and it would make a killer display! I can just picture the advertising campaign for the new line!!

The permutations can be endless. The BCCI 110’s were available with 5 handle options which could be purchased separately. The options were Ironwood, Natural Linen Micarta, Olive Drab Micarta, Charcoal G-10, and Ivoroid. Even if you had no spare blades, the original Selector blades fit the BCCI handle offering 10 styles. Leroy Remer can make custom blades. I sometimes knock knives apart to get the blades out of them.
I have modified handles by replacing pins with screws, adding pocket clips, and also removing material to make them lighter.
I’m not looking for nice profit margins, but I am having a lot fun.
