112 in 5160 or 420?

Buck's annual Fathers Day Sale.
Most factory authorized dealers sell many running line items at factory authorized sale prices.
Doesn't include dealer exclusives.

Looks like they ship fast.. has that been your experience? They also sell on amazon as prime and I can get it friday
Skip Amazon & buy direct. It's cheaper... and Prime delivery sucks lately.

**For the record, I ordered on the 17th (before this thread was posted), so no 5160 heading my way.

Do I really "need" a pair of 110's with 5160 blades (one each drop point and clip point) with oak covers?
I got 110's with 420HC, 440C, and CM154 ... more 110's than I'm like to carry, if I be honest about it ... and there are other things I need worst/more ...
I think I'll think about it for a few days ...

You right about Prime shipping leaving much to be desired lately
I ordered an in stock (allegedly "all terrain") Rollator that will (supposedly) work in a somewhat packed gravel parking lot, and on the lawn, April 30.
Prime finally got it to me on May 10.

It works so-so on the parking lot ... a little less than so-so in the grass.

So much for Amazon's claim "we ship what people need most first." I needed the rollator a lot more than a couple wall tapestries ordered the same time, and delivered May 4.

So I ordered the 112 from c&c. It arrived after about a week. This isn’t their fault but it’s a very bad example for buck. So much gap between the lock bar and brass liners that you can shine a light through it. Lots of side to side blade play. Obviously I have to send it back.. now an answer to the “kill the little man” comment. It’s actually c&c that sells the same knife on amazon, amazon fulfills for them. Now I absolutely wish I had ordered on amazon because I would have a new one en route already. I sent an email to c&c and haven’t even gotten a response, and their return policy makes it clear that it could be 5 or more weeks. So I’ll be almost two months just to not end up with the knife at all.

Been there, done that.
C&C will take care of it, but it's a frustratingly long process considering the alternatives.

Personally anything I order from them goes thru Ama__n for that reason. I always get the item faster that way too.

Neither have a phone number, which I don't like.
But in the event of a return, Ama__n is light years ahead of refunding funds.

I can't argue with that. I assume the product will be flawless which is a mistake. I've had to return to them and it's gone well. I've had to return to the factory too and it's gone well. Both took time. I hope this goes quick for you.

Did you check your spam box on your email? I did a return to them and it took about a week from the time I shipped it back to them until I had the new...perfect example of a Buck in my hand.
They aren't a big giant company like several dealers that sell knives, but from my experience they'll take care of you, and I already heard that before.

When you say, "so much light you can shine a light through", thats kinda vague really. I expect it to be tight and function properly, even look good, but I have owned a lot of classics and traditionals that you could see light shining through to some extent, but were fantastic examples.

The blade play says more kinda. I do hope they get you one you're happy with.
