112 Steel

Hi. I have an old (ca. mid-80's) 112FG. Can anyone tell me what steel is used in the blade? I think I remember that they were made from 440C at that time, but I can't find anything that tells me for sure.

...Hi Michael and welcome to the forum...A mid-80'S 112 blade would be made of 440c steel...Is that a 3 or 4 dot blade?...Nice knife.

I did some more reading on the forums (should have done this first , and, from the 3 dots, it appears that this is 440C. It must be a little older than I remember.
