I voted for the 112. Its a great folder but to heavy really for an edc pocket knife imho. I should like the 501 more than i do but after a short love affair i sort of lost my spark for it.
For a true edc lockback i would choose my 503 over the 112 or 501 honestly. Love that little guy and its proven to be enough knife for my daily needs 9 times out of 10.
 
In belt carry. .a 112. In my pocket any 500 series. It used to be very popular to thin down a 110 or 112 to reduce weight and size and I think far more 110's were modified that way. Blade profile is probably more important reason to go to a 500 because drop point or spear point were rare in the 110 and 112 . I held a super thin 112 with radical finger grooves that felt like a extension of my hand. .the most secure grip of any Buck I've held. I like the 450 blade profile best and this spring I bought 2 ...I might thin one down.
