113 Custom, or 192 Pro Limited......?

Trying to decide between:

113 Custom.
Waterbuffalo handle.
nickle hardware
polished 420hc blade

192 Pro Limited.
Green micarta handle,
Nickle hardware
S35v blade.

I've been trying to decide for awhile.....

Neither one would likely ever be used.
Well, maybe the Vanguard would if I ever........ Well probably not.

I say the d113 custom.

Edit: I've had the 192 plain Jane in and out of my cart for two years now. Never have pulled the trigger..

If you aren't going to use them, then I say just get the cheap normal versions to look at. Or just save the money. lol
If you are going to use them, then I would do the 192.

Damnit! Now I am looking at 113 customs. If I end up getting a 113 custom, I am blaming you.

Yeah, the 113 Customs can make for a pretty cool knife if you like little fixed blades.
And I've field dressed many deer with one. They're pretty capable little knives.
Plus I really like a full tang knife.

The 192 is probably one of Bucks best looking fixed blades.
The handle is a perfect size.
I think this knife's price is a bit high. But you just don't find too many upgraded 192's out there.....
......until recently.

A 113 Custom is pretty similar in price.
So it really doesn't matter.

I've got plenty of knives.
But I'm trying to focus my collection in this direction.....

I've been thinking about the 113 with water buffalo and nickel silver, too.

If your not going to use it. I vote for the 113, because I like natural handle materials better than micarta. I know micarta makes a great handle. It's tough, durable, and has a good grip, but I just like the looks of natural handles better.

If you were going to use it I would say the 192, because I like S35VN better than 420HC. I know 420HC is way tougher, and is easy to sharpen. And in a lot of situations that makes up for the S35VN's better edge holding ability. Still when given the choice I have always picked S35VN, or S30V, or now Magnacut.

I'll throw in a novice's vote, fwiw. I pick the 192 based on looks alone. I've never held either one, but I like them both.

For a non user I would go for the 113. I think it is a better looking knife plus natural handle materials just looks better to me.

Those are two of my favorite fixed blades and makes for a tough choice. When you mentioned that neither will be used, most likely, it tipped my vote over to the 113. Whichever one you choose, make sure to post up some pictures!

If I get 420, I'd go stock 113. If I'm going S30v, then custom.

My favorite knife is probably a 192.
But I just can't get past what they are charging for the 192 Pro Limited and what it is.
Compared to the 119, it's $40 more, and then the 119 is eligible for BCCI pricing.....

I've always wanted a Vanguard with upgraded steel and a micarta handle.
Now it's available and I'm being cheap.

So, I'm leaning towards the 113.
I believe the buffalo handle will have a bit of a sheen, and I'm thinking a polished 420 blade will look good with that.
But the s30v would make for a better knife.

I can see where I'll end up with both of these.
