I bought this knife at a Dick's Sporting Goods store in Jacksonville NC first time I saw one (I think in late 2011/early 2012) - it looked cool! Used it on a deer in the fall of 2012, that's the last time I used it. I would say it is an excellent "single purpose" knife - great for skinning, but I'd need another knife for deboning and cutting up the venison. OH
I never paid attention to the sheath as I don' wear it but use it for storage. I see it is about an inch longer than needed though, I think the best remedy for that would be to lengthen the blade, something like this. lol
Great whitetail knife. Perfect size, even for a desperation, last hours of the season button buck.
Unfortunately, mine got stolen, which still ticks me off. Gone but not forgotten.
I've had my eye on the Boone and Crockett 112-113 set manly to get the 112..But it stands on it's own as a useful smaller fixed blade. It reminds me of the Gen 5 . I always considered it a 112 fixed blade..
