$1157 for a production knife?

Ironic that he is talking S about American Independance Day by mentioning that 9mm round that developed by the Germans and he is using the INTERNET THAT WAS INVENTED BY THE U.S. to do it. Probably on an iPhone that was invented by Americans too.

And no I wouldnt buy a $1157 knife made by Benchmade

That's not irony, but most people get irony mixed up with coincidence.

Interestingly enough the internet was created in part by many countries including but not limited to the USA, and the inventor of the World Wide Web (what most would consider 'internet') was British.

Oh Shit, guys, we have to boycott Bladeforums next 4th of July all together!!!
It running on an Operating System invented by a Fin
On a web sever created by a Russian
And written on a language created by a Dane

FML!

Beer is decidedly a German thing, yet millions of Americans got wasted this last week on it celebrating the 4th.

Cannabis is sourced from Central and South America, yet the reek of reefer was quite evident at the Tom Petty concert last night. The source of what you celebrate with is far less important than the fact that you are celebrating our country's Independence and culture.

$1157 is $1100 more than I I would EVER spend on a Benchmade.

It didn't appear to be an auto. The next time I'm there I will ask.

It wouldn't appear to be an auto. It's a double action with a hidden scale release:

That's one badass blade. I don't think I could justify the money, but dual action autos are neat as shite. I just think it's cool being able to open it normally when you need to, or firing it when you want to, haha.

I couldn't find it on the Benchmade website. They only had one gold class knife listed and it wasn't the one.

My best guess is it was this model, either way, priced around the same. The model is the 707-161. If you look it up on amazon you can find some funny reviews...
I recently bought a gold class stryker at 400$ and I find that priced right where it should be. I would never pay twice that for a gold class though. At a certain point most knife companies get a bit carried away imo

Yeah, I've handled one at a gun store and I wasn't a fan. Matt Diskin and Protech both back double action autos that are far superior and cheaper.

Funny enough I've yet to handle any Protechs. I just don't get to see them anywhere. From what I gather, everyone into autos on this forum is into Protechs(which is saying something in its own right).
