This particular piece is a 115mm petty that is fantastic for many tasks in the kitchen! It's not to large and not to small!

The hand rubbed blade is made from 1095 steel and heat treated to 60HRC. 1095 will develop a nice patina after a period of use that will only enhance it's appearance.

The handle is constructed from African Blackwood and Palm and was polished to 600 grit and then buffed. The result is a handle that looks great, but is not slippery.

The blade features a full flat grind and is extremely thin, coming in at 1.9mm/.074" at the thickest point. There is a gradual distal taper to the tip.

The geometry on this knife is fantastic. Cutting an onion is truly effortless. If you like lasers, this is an excellent choice! This is easily the best petty I've ever used. The edge hand sharpened to 6,000 grit, then stropped.

This is a great all around kitchen knife for amateur or professional chef alike!
