117 TRIVIA
Buck has recycled the 117 number three times. The 117 folding knife from the 1940's. I believe it was a rebladed Camillus life raft knife.
The 117 Twinset with a 103 & 116. And finally, the present day 117 Brahma.

Introduced in the 2016 catalog, the leather handled 117 Brahma was the first factory version. Only lasted 2 years.
The first phenolic handled version was a dealer exclusive for Copper & Clad.

Buck does not seem able to settle on a definitive name. The leather handled version was cataloged as the Small Brahma, the Elk handled version was called the 'Spike', Copper and Clad sold their 117's as Small Specials and Mini 119's. My 117 BOTM is labeled simply BRAHMA on the box.

Here is the 117 Small Brahma between a 102 and 105 for comparison.

The 117 Spike. Elk handle with micarta spacers and a 420HC blade. Brass furniture and a nice tan sheath round out the package. This was a Limited Edition of 250 in the 2017 Legacy Collection. Buck made sure we knew it was a Limited Edition by etching the fact on the blade. I know I'm a broken record on this but it came in a rediculously over sized unstorable box.

New guy here. I had a big gap between a 103 and 119. I’m starting to fill it in. I’m thinking I may have entered a danger zone with this one. The handle on this one isn’t like the others(black phenolic). Is it part of “my set” or did I just start another set? Uh oh…
