119

...
I had a copy of the original catalog pic of the "119" but it's lost in the jungle of magazine cutouts, notes, catalogs, bills, receipts, and pr0n in my home office... :(

LOL Trax...
I sat here staring at what you typed about your "jungle" of stuff. Finally got the last item. Thanks for the smile. :D

Back when I used to have to walk 4 miles in the snow to school...actually, I was a Boy Scout in a US Navy sponsored troop at Subic Bay, Philippines (no snow) and seeing an older Scout with a 119. I was awestruck at the simple beauty of that knife. Guess it was 1970. His dad had recently transferred to Subic Bay and the knife came with the family.

Couldn't get 'em at the Subic Navy Exchange. When I came back to the US shortly afterwards, I ended up getting a 110.
That 110 ended up getting "confiscated" by a MP at Fort Polk, LA in 1975. :( My first Buck knife. :(

Should've, would've, could've...gotten a 119 then.

I would imagine that a 119 was almost required equipment if anyone planned on stepping off the pavement there in Subic. No telling what you might be confronted by...either on four legs or two! :o
