Guyon

Your AR has a car gas system (7") if you want to go longer than that you need low profile gas block.

Speak English? :p I just went to Academy and plunked down a credit card before the mad rush began. :D

Your AR has a carbine length gas system - which is 7" long. A 7" rail will fit if you want a longer rail 9" or longer you will most likely need a low profile gas block as I don't think your existing one will clear the rail.

Pauli, to keep it simple (for me), do you meant that I'd need the 7" version of the rail?

Edit: Oops... posted at the same time. Thanks! I see what you mean now.

Hmmm... looking around, the $139 price seems to be good, and you're getting about a $30 value in the three free rail covers. Penny shipping too. If that rail comes back in stock, I may grab one up.

Damn... then that means I have to start looking for mounts and lights. That's what they mean when they call them "evil" black rifles. They're money pits! :p

Are those free float rails?

They are evil because as soon as you finish one you want to build another.

Sort of like Jeremy's knives :)

You tell me...

AIM just started carrying Troy products, so they've got some good introductory specials. The flip-up sight combo (F&R) was one.

They have the Troy MRF Drop In M4 Carbine 7" Battle Rail for $139 with three free rail covers (currently out of stock, but more coming possibly). And they have the Troy MRF Drop In Mid Length 9" Battle Rail for $169, three free rail covers here as well. This one is in stock.

I just got same same Troy rail, in FDE, for my AR.

Sights ought to be here in a few days. I'll put 'em on and snap a pic of the rifle alongside the Camp Blood.

Non free float Guyon - still decent rail. All this talk about AR's but no pictures.

Guyon / Brian?

What AR;), I'm already working on the 870 after seeing your buddy Casey's pictures (I can pick it up this weekend). All I need for the AR is optics and you will get pics. I just sold my Zilla, so I'm ordering my optics this weekend.

Next, I guess I'll have to get a red dot, but first, I'm going to learn to shoot this one with the iron sights.
