My grandfather is not doing good back in Poland. :(

His blood pressure swings one day is really low another day its really high and the damn doctors there won't take him to the hospital. They run a bunch of tests but won't know till the weekend.

Sorry to read that, I hope he gets well. If I can do any thing just let me know, if he speaks English I can give him a call and cheer him up. I’m in Europe at the moment.

So, what ever I can do count on it.

Thanks guys - means a lot.

Its my moms dad so she's pretty upset right now. I just came back from my powder / primer supplier and the old chap that I was dealing for a long time is gone too - sick with cancer he won't be coming back.

Coo J. The postal system came through.

Thanks for the offer - he only speaks polish but thank you :)

Some cool info from Canadian Precision rifle builder
We got this barrel in a few days ago as part of a rebarreling job and thought it might make a good example of what exactly happens to a barrel when it is past its useful service life.

Note the rifling is completely eaten away for about a quarter inch ahead of the neck and the steel is blackened and crispy.

This was an OEM factory barrel. Note the rough chamber and visible tooling marks from what was obviously a dull reamer. Also note how rounded the corners are on the shoulder transition from body to shoulder and shoulder to neck.

Here we see a closeup of the same chamber as above (top) compared to a custom, hand polished match chamber (bottom) cut with a new, sharp reamer. The chamber walls are bright and shiny with no tooling marks and the transitions from body to shoulder and shoulder to neck are sharp, not rounded.

Sorry for being a bit of a Lama, Jerm,,,, but I really can't get used to the look of a chisel grind,,, seems to me the knife is only half-finished,,, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all,,, :o
