Thanks for the oprotunity to show my work, Uncle Bill. I have been messing around with this one during the weekemd and after many mistakes (it was much different, and larger, than it is now) it turned out an accepatabile blade. it is, of course far from being finished, what should accour only around July or August.
I am in the process of making a gas forge, then I shoud dedicate myself more to these projects, wich are a complete departure from my usual style.
Much before that, I intend to start upgrading some of Uncle Bill's blems in oder to get used to the style, and in a couple months I should be showing you guys something. Different woods, solid fittings, maybe even some ivory... let's see what is going to turn out...
On the meantime, I intend to convince Sr. Bíde, the old blacksmith, to have a M43 like piece made for me before he gets all those Sorocabanas finished. When I asked him if he was able to make a convex grind, this afternoon, he looked at me like if it was the most stupid question in the world and said: "Why, of course!" and that is a good beginning, it seems. If this one becomes reality one day, I'll show you guys.
But this does not stops me from being the second on the list for an HI M43 like piece! As I said before, steel fittings and horn slabs on mine.
