This Halloween I decided to do something fun and forged out a slasher killer's knife ala Psycho and Halloween .
The length is 12 inches with a 4 inch handle. I used Aldo's 1084 with a thickness of 0.125, I despheroidized the steel and normalized 3x, before quenching in parks 50 and tempering twice at 400*. Bloodwood and brass for the handle and pins. I left the finish rough at 400 grit, but finished the edge at 1000 grit.
