When did Lacchu stop using the trident?

I now feel my Lacchu/trident Khukuris are collector's editions.

Bura's mark has always been a quarter-moon plus a sun symbol. Lachhu was trained by Bura. Now that Bura is no longer making knives, maybe Lachhu is going to inherit his mark or something close to it.

When did Bura start using a a sun symbol along with his quarter moon symbol ? I have 7 Bura made knives, including the one in my profile picture from 2003-2005 that only have the quarter moon symbol and his initials.


Also when did the kami mark move from the right side of the blade to the left side and was there a reason for the this change ?

I haven't been keeping up for a while and just wondering. Thanks for any information.

I have a Bura blade with only the half moon symbol, and a more recent one with the half moon along with the Lachhu full moon. I believe it is from when Lachhu was training under Bura and helping make the blades.
