Thanks guys for all the kind words... She came real clean... But with the wrong sheath... But I can live with it... The girl had three 119s too... one older one for $30 and the other two for $20 each... Next time... My sons wife got a sweet knife too... She will post some pics on the SPS, if she has time... ITE ...

That knife looks unused.

Looks like the HD-Dealer in Gettysburg is pro casino. There always seems to be a political battle of some sort in Gettysburg.

:):cool::)

Nice 121 Lucky 'E' . Looks like its dressed with micarta spacers, so, a 70's knife . DM

Hi ITE, do you like to have a sheath for the knife? May be that I have a
comparing one. Are you interested?

Best,
Haebbie

Does anyone have a picture of a original sheath for this 121 two liner... For I'll know what I'm looking for... Thanks... ITE ...

All the three are made for the 121.

ITE, I think the lower one is the correct one, but I'm not shure.
The middle one has no ambossed number at the backside.
It may be a sheath from the sixties --- or not?

Best,
Haebbie

I believe the middle one with no numbers on the back should be the one. At least the one I have has no model number.

Let me add to the problem of the correct sheath. While I am confident that the knife on the left (which was my personal fishing knife during 17 years of pacific coast salmon fishing) in the below picture is older than the one on the right, they are both, as you can see, two liners. The sheath on the left has the snap with no BUCK on it, just plain. Both knives have their original sheaths. In fact, I have a BUCK USA scaler, which would be earlier, with the identical sheath to the one on the right. So I am confident that the plain sheath vs the one embossed with "121" is a function of age within the BUCK USA category. Just can't say with any specificity when the change took place, but I suspect that it was early on in the 1967-73 life of the BUCK USA 121s.

Oh, incidentally, the knives are the same size, I had to angle the picture so that I could show all the things pertinent to the discussion without reflections. It is simply a matter of camera perspective.

Tele, isn't there a stamp on the Belt loop from the left one?

Haebbie

Haebbie, you are correct. It was my understanding that the issue in this thread was the correct sheath for a BUCK USA two liner. I believe that I have posted pictures of the those sheaths.

The totally unmarked sheath, I believe, is for the earlier BUCK one liner. I have posted a picture of that sheath.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Or three or four......

I have a horizontal stamp BUCK 121 one liner that has the same sheath only it has only one keeper strap instead of two.

This one isn't stamped... So anyway I guess you just toss all your sheaths in a big box and just grab one... ... And that's the right one... LOL ... ITE ... :D

:)

That big box apparently had many sheath combinations and permutations. As can be seen in the pictures above, you can have fold over sheaths, keeper strap sheaths with no model stamped on the back, the model number below the belt loop, on the belt loop, or above the belt loop. One final note, the snap can either be plated with or without BUCK stamped on it or can be painted black without BUCK stamped on it.

With those 1967 and earlier, it seems impossible to determiine which of those combinations would be used with a particular knife. Don't try to date the knife by the sheath that came with it.
