121 Two Liner...

That big box apparently had many sheath combinations and permutations. As can be seen in the pictures above, you can have fold over sheaths, keeper strap sheaths with no model stamped on the back, the model number below the belt loop, on the belt loop, or above the belt loop. One final note, the snap can either be plated with or without BUCK stamped on it or can be painted black without BUCK stamped on it.

With those 1967 and earlier, it seems impossible to determiine which of those combinations would be used with a particular knife. Don't try to date the knife by the sheath that came with it.
Telechronos:):):)

I wouldn't ever do that... I date my knives by the marking on the blade or the handles... or by David M... ... On the 2 liner, I was going to use a fold over Sheath... But someone told me it came with a keeper strap sheath... But it could come either way... So i'm good... I'm going to use the fold over sheath... ITE ...

I'm fairly certain that the "Big Box" was empty of keeper strap sheaths by the time of 1967 and the two liners.

Well, ITE, then I put the sheaths back into the box again. ;-))

But you know where you find one if you need one.

Haebbie

Thanks Haebbie, that was very nice you to offer me a sheath... :) ... I have one that will work... Now that I know they came with different sheaths... Take care Armand

By the way that a Nice picture...

Thank you, Armand, the bison bones and the antler are stroed in the same box together with the knife sheath.
So I took the stuff, put the sheaths on it and took the picture. That is the story behind.

Best,
Haebbie
