124 Production Process?

That little black rivet could really help date the 124 if someone knew for sure when it was added.

At the very bottom left corner of my 'care paper', it reads 4/77.
After this number there is often another number that reads like 22K. Meaning how many of those sheet were printed. This addition was probably added later than the date of your sheets. DM

David, you're a wealth of information.

Thank you. I try for you gents. I just looked at some of my papers and this second number is not on all of them. So, I suspect it was added later. DM

Did you happen to notice the earliest date that the numbers appeared?

They seem to appear in late 1980. Because I have several dated 1/80 and no other number beside it. These papers had the P.O.Box 1267, El Cajon address.
So, these would be from the time when Buck's plant was on 1717 Magnolia Ave.. As it wasn't until August of 1980 that they moved into the plant on Weld Boulevard. So, this is when I'm thinking this other number starts to appear on the care sheets. DM

Ok, I just checked some others and my 3 dot 110's don't have the second number. But my 4 dot 110's DO have the second number. It seems to have started in early 81. It could be that the existing 'care papers' were used up during the 3 dot time frame and the printing company made a change on these papers at the start of 1981. I'm close on this time frame. DM

Good detective work, David. My 124 'care paper' has the P.O Box 1267 as well. Thanks for your quick research.
