124 Sheath idea

That is cool... The large pouch on the Buckmaster was for a 110.... Let's see what Makael says about it....

Came out great! Is it for sale? Doesn’t have to be a 110. A small survival kit would be great in that pouch. Or a sharpening stone like a Randall.

No survival stuff, go back to your original idea with the 110... You have something there...

Lol! My son says “ no way he did that so quick. He must already had it done”.

Again nice job. The only thing missing is the pine tree.

That is sweet Mike! A guy would prob'ly want a lighter weight model 110 and I think you have a winner. Very nice work on the brown 124 sheath as well.

A few days ago I received a package from our resident leather worker Makael.
This thing is awesome! He disassembled the two sheaths and stitched them together and somehow elevated them to anew level. All the rough edges are gone every stitch is perfect. Thanks Mike.

I’m a huge 110 fan and never warmed up to the 112, but I’m thinking maybe a112 would be the better choice for this application. The 110 fits but just barely!

Either way this a fantastic package. Two great knives that go great together.

Mike feel free to post your pictures of this sheath. You take much better pictures than me.

That one I was able to peel back the front of the 124 sheath far enough to sew on a 110 sheath. I dug around my 110 sheaths to find one without the loop. It sits flat. Sanded the edge around the 124 sheath and burnished. Shows brown leather and black leather matching the black sheath with brown stitching. A lot of fun, plus the 124 sheath from Buck is a USA made version,

This is so damn cool!!! You are a master Mak! Its gotta be heavy though i to was thinking a 110 LT as the companion knife. Or better yet use a 112 sheath and a 112 LT? More practicle. On the other side use a 110-112 fron the exzact same year as the 124.
All and all a great idea.

If i were to have you make me a brown custom sheath for my 124 like the one pictured above I wouldn’t need to send my knife would I ?

Nope, I have a couple 124s. One is just for patterns.

I forgot to mention the cool brown racing stripes that came through after he smoothed the edges. The two tone effect really sets it apart as something special. I’m going to wear it around today doing yard work. I’ll let you know how I make out.

I'm glad you like it. Feels pretty good in hand, a 110 LT might cut down on the weight.
