Hey Guys, I just upgraded to a 275 Wright, so im selling my old 125 pound JHM Journyman anvil. Its a super nice anvil with a hardened steel face, crisp edges and a nearly perfectly flat face. No damage, no nicks deeper than 1/32 of an inch. The shot with the ruler is to show how flat the face is.

Asking 550 for it. Im located in Socal/ Los angeles. Near UCLA

Feels like steel to the hand and sounds like resonating steel when finger pinged. Steel of blade and the wood resonate together when struck as if they were one solid piece of steel. The best handle wood I have ever come across in almost 4 decades of knifing, and the most majestical in appearance. A camera cannot capture the full depth and incredible intricacy of patterns in this wood. Under bright white light, the more and deeper you look into it, the more of its ongoing fractal beauty appears out of nowhere from within its depths; amazing and spellbinding. The only wood I have ever come across that deserves the title or prefix of 'magical'.

Can't comprehend why it's not used more often, it leaves most everything I've ever come across before in its wake.

I thought it worth a mention because there's so little information about it out there.

I still have the bigger and better of the 2 pieces I bought from you Ben. It's not every day one feels the need to sit down and design a knife around the handle wood intended for it, but here I am.

Have a good one.
