Funny anecdote (though not knife related): Back when I worked in a bookstore (I'm a librarian now), a customer came in and asked us where all the "red books" were. After a bit of questioning, I realized that she literally thought we shelved the books by the color of their covers, and was SHOCKED when she found out that we shelved according to author and subject. She couldn't understand why we would choose to shelve things in such a bizarre way!

Pic of my do-it-yourself small chef knife in Snakewood. I love the color and pattern of this wood. The knife is VG10 core damascus knife blade blank with bolster. Can be found on Amazon for under $40 not including the scales. Great deal for a nice kitchen knife. Its my current favorite in the kitchen.
