12x5 on order

Just placed my order last night for a couple of 12x5s from 2 Wolves.
Can't wait to get them in, hopefully they'll get out in the woods with me and the family this weekend.
I just wanted y'all to know that I'm doing my part to boost the economy! :)
 
I assume you are talking of Maxpedition pouches.What do you plan on putting in them? Any reason you went with th 12x5 instead of the 10x4? I am on the fence as what size to get. Also what color? What are you attaching them to?

I got it in foliage also, I think its a pretty cool color. I've got plenty OD, woodland and desert camo stuff...just wanted something different.
It kinda matches the new ABU uniform, maybe I can get away with carrying it on base.
I went with the 12x5 because it can hold 2 cups (one on top and bottom) of the Guyot...at least thats what I've heard.
I've got shoulder straps too but I may just hook it to my pack, options are endless.

Here it is with a GSI cup inside and the Guyot.....plenty of room for a propane canister and stove or whatever else.

A 10x4 will fit the Guyot 32oz. Bacpacker and the GSI cup but its a little tight if you have other things in the side pouch.

Great picture.I ordered a 12x5 foliage along with a foilage proteus waistpack last night myself.I also went for the 12x5 with the intention of carrying a couple of cups and/or stove and gas canister.Looks to be very roomy.
I went for the proteus as a day carry come personal BOB.I have a eagle III loaded up in the house for a 3 day BOB and a SO Tech GO bag loaded in the car.I needed something smaller for everyday carry of keys,phone,wallet,first aid kit etc that wasn't going to be getting in the way or become cumbersome.The proteus looks to fit the bill just right.

I have 2 Camelbak MULE packs. I really like Camelbak packs. I have a few other backpacks and they work good too, but I wanted something different.
Plus, when I have my backquiver on and we're out stump shooting the backpacks kinda get in the way. A pack/bottle holder on the side should work out just fine for a day out stumping.
When I'm hunting I carry a full pack, but thats for when I'll be gone all day and hopefully packing meat out!
 
The 12x5 holds a lot of gear. I have a Guyot 38 oz bottle, Snow peak Ti pot, gas canister, Snow peak stove, Ti spork, and the pot lid all in the main compartment.
 
great, just great. Now i have to get a 12x5.....it will fit my MSR Reactor stove perfectly........

Great pics farnsrocket! Wow, the foliage green actually looks pretty good, it looked weird to me on the maxpedition site. I think it was the same color zippers that threw me off; but it looks pretty good in your pics.
 
I believe I'm going with the 10 x 4. Not totally decided yet, but leaning that way.
