While playing with making larger blades, I got carried away and profiled a long fighting machete with far too thick a piece of steel. This thing was just an absolute abomination of balance, so I felt it appropriate to play Solomon and cut it in half to reuse the steel instead of finishing it. Well, what did the vikings make when a sword "broke"? They made one of my favorite blades, the Seax.

Made from 1084 and tempered to around 60HRC, this chopper is handled with scorched black walnut and pinned with brass. the steel is 1/8th inch stock with an OAL of 13.65" with a 7.65"blade.
