This is a design I'm working on developing into the best multipurpouse knife I can create :).

The main element I was testing with this one was the blade thickness, many if not most survival/bush oriented blades are really fat and stout in aim of making a blade that won't break.

Well, I went the other way and made this thin :) 1/8th" at the flats, The idea was that A wider blade with less thickness and a good ht should be less prone to breaking when deformed.. More of a spring action, and the added mass directly behind the cutting edge, ease of acceleration in swing, and large reduction in drag during a cut helps compensate for the lack of weight. This knife is fully capable of battoning of course, Just treat it like you would a tool worth respect and it won't give on you, or I'll replace it :)

Specs

13" length over all, 8 1/8" blade length to choil, handle close to 4.5 from the butt to where the wrap ends near the middle.

Blade is 1/8" thick, and 1.5" wide with a raised clip up front.
1084

Full convex grind to 400 grit satin finish, with a ground and polished 3k grit convex edge

Handle is leather wrapped in parac hord, with beeswax melted in for added resilience, as well as the ability to remove and use the cord if necessary.. just carve of the welded knot with something sharp :)

Sheath is tooled leather with several feet of cord that is removable. The leather is sealed and stained.

I don't know if this is a faux pas, but would you be willing to part with this without the sheath?

I've got no use for a heavy leather sheath(although the workmanship is very fine), but am very interested in the blade itself. If so, please email me.

If this post is inappropriate, I apologize profusely.

Not inappropriate at all, The sheath actually goes to another knife, but fits this one well :) I'll shoot you an email.

Thanks!

By jove, you've done it. That thing is perfect.

When it sells, let me know, so we can get back to work on the world's perfect machete.
