1311 anyone?

something worth noting, the distance from the finger to the edge appears to be the same as on the Basic 10 choiless edition. I'm really glad to see that they went the non-indented choil route with this. with only 1/8" of over sharpening of the choil side portion of the edge (creating a straight ramp instead of a corner), you can reduce the chance of snagging to 0.

About a week ago, I got a payment request followed through with the that day. I have not received a shipping confirmation or the knife.

Ok I have to throw in my 2 cents.

Dan took it to the next level with this one! I took a couple shots next to the B11 and the FDM has so much more cutting area. I was worried about the saber grind (I am a full flat guy) but I like it with this blade. I think the B11 might be headed to a new home soon!

I do prefer the original Basic handles to the Yard handles though.

With the cutting area lined up I can get a whole hand more on the FDM. Barley get three fingers when aligning by the handles.

Thanks Dan for making this big bad boy happen! This is the large blade I have been looking for.

I was on the fence about ordering one since I already have the Srcapizashi, but finally tipped since this is probably the biggest knife that will ever use Res-C, and chances are it'll chop just as well as the 'zashi with less weight. It's just too bad the 1311 isn't S-7, that stuff has worked really well for me (my stripped SOD barely ever rusts).

Regardless, putting this thing to use should be sweet.

Those are Danner Mountain light 80th. I love them but boy they are Busse pricey. I love my Danners, but only buy the USA made ones.

Nice thing is Danner makes their boots 10 minutes from my house and they offer great factory deals.

SR-101 is better, except maybe for rust resistance.

What if all I want to do with it is chisel rocks apart?:p

I suppose you're right. For a bush whacking blade better edge retention should be more useful than a little extra shock resistance, and I'm a long, long way from the ocean.

How long do they usually take? This is the first one I've ordered right on release.
I see a few people have them in hand already. I have my order confirmation from 5 minutes after the sale went up and I haven't even been charged yet =(

I was in early as well with ordering my two, but no sign of them yet... :(

I guess whooping on my scrapizashi will have to tide me over for now. :D
