The Robeson is 3 1/8" closed and the Valley Forge is 2 15/16" closed... the VF is similar to the GEC Beagle (2 3/4" closed) but a little bigger. They're a nice size for for daily stuff. Good watch pocket knives. The side-to-side is small but present. Knives with tip bolsters are prone to it but it's not something I'd anticipate becoming a problem.
