I carried and used my “ApocaLucha” for a few months, just long enough to take it from sharp to fairly dull. I sharpened it tonight on a simple ceramic rod. Started with 10 strokes per side, went to 8, then to 6, then 4 and so on.
The thing is so freaking screaming, sticky sharp. I love that. Went from sharp to dull over the course of 3 months of near daily use (lots of it on a cutting board, believe it or not) then sharpened back to a razor in two minutes flat.
People keep throwing this “budget” term around. It’s flat out just a great steel, at least how Kershaw does it.
