15,000 yowza !!!

Ok, I just realized that with the recent throws into wood that my old user SHBM has just hit 15,000 throws (middle one), nearly 7 years of throwing at 200 throws a month average. It can only claim chopping 3 or 4 cords of wood. My other beater only has about approx. 2,600 throws under it's belt. but in a much shorter time. (ok these numbers aren't perfect, but I can say that they are conservative.)

I think me and my mistresses will have cake and scotch and cigars tonight:thumbup: pretty much any excuse to have scotch and cigars.

that thing looks damn near new! you probably baby the shit out of that thing, after your done having your way with it, that is... the tip certainly looks a bit rounded; a few close ups for us?

Sweet group... I am going to order a grey CGFBM and like the color of the handles in the pic of yours. Which ones are those on the top knife (CGFBM)?

believe it or not they are just the standard black canvas handles, but they look green.

Actually that is just the angle of the blade. It's been sharpened a bit and the nice thing about the satin finish is that all I need to do is use 1000 or 1500 grit to remove all marks and scratches.

that was the night of operation cobalt to go and reclaim three shbm's from his backyard. But I heard he doesn't sleep. He lies in wait for prey :eek:

How thick are the SHBM in the pic???

This thread makes me want to try throwing a few Busse's myself.
Think I'll start with the SHBA that was your's a loooooooong time ago.
Maybe it still has a little bit of magic left in it.

Actually, I did not keep exact count. All I know is that I told myself that I needed to do 200 per month minimum. Sometimes I would go 3 weeks or longer without throwing, but then I would do a couple that would bring right back. Almost everytime I throw them, I will throw over 200 times in one sitting. So the number is probably a bit higher over the course of 7 years.

I have thrown badgers before, but not yours:D They seem to be to azz heavy to throw well. They end up hitting tail first or along the spine. But with a little knife as beefy as that they still do damage.

Awesome news Cobalt, that blades looks spanking new. I havent tried to throw my FBM yet.Do you find that they throw better or worse than your SHBM?

worse, but it isn't fair because I am so use to throwing SHBM's that I don't even have to think about it. The FBM was a pain in the arse. I have a thread where I posted a bunch of videos on my throws and how bad they are.
