15" Balance ?

There's some pretty hilarious, and disapointing stories about Buffalo out here.
Many private ranches have Bison. There was a local dust-up not too long ago when the Bison on Rancher A's place ate all the grass and wanted more, so they came over to Rancher B's place. Rancher B understood the importance of the Bison and reintroduction, and brought them back to their owner, ndn Rancher A. This happens a few times. Finally, during a snow storm, Rancher B just shoots several of the beasts. He got tired of them busting through his fence because Rancher A wasn't feeding them enough.
I think they're still figuring it out in court.

I have very limited experience with buffalo, but from what I understand if they want out of someplace there gone. I shot one many years ago in a Utah draw hunt, you can eat for a very long time off one.

You're right Munk. You too Sogguy. On the tang and the weight. But you could still have a full tang with the chainpuri handle, in fact that's the default. As I said that style of handle is optional though. I just have several Buras and khadkas with that handle and I really like them.

The 18" and at least 26 with a max of 28 oz. would make a nice balance. No pun intended. It won't balance like the little ones but it doesn't need to. You are both right in that although the light weight is nice in a 13" size that you wouldn't choose anyway for serious chopping, on a larger model you would want more than we ended up with on the FF I think. Especially with the Balance style blade.

(Nothing against the FF, but I think that 3-4 oz. more weight would work better with this design.)

The last several have been made by Sgt. khadka, so that might be an issue as far as availability. But I have a nice one by Sher. Show him a pic of the 2/13 balance and tell him "Same specs as the big BDC" and I bet he could do wonders...

Well, something to keep in mind anyway. We have lots of new stuff coming already, and the Kamis are all busier than hell. Plus there are a ton of new models introduced just this year that are in high demand and short supply.

No sense crowding the field right now, but maybe in a few months...?

Thanks for the fun brainstorming session.

I believe Norm is right about everything, especially the timing to inject a new item, let's say we re-convene about Labor day?
Thanks for the idea's.
