Crucible's datasheets show 2100-2150 for S90V, but you'll see that in their impact toughness tests that they actually austenitized at 2050. My printed 420V datasheet shows the same data. My little stainless heat treating chart from them shows 1950-2150 as the austenitizing range. Could both be typos, of course, but I think they are just low (and not recommended) austenitizing ranges for the steel.
There are, of course, other high heat alloys such as the M series steels. But I think one would have noticed the difference. BG42 might not be noticeable, except that it grinds so well annealed.
