154CM or D2

In true BF fashion....I'm compelled to get both. That might take a while, but I don't think I have a choice :)
 
In my actual use, there's really no observable difference between the two steels. D2 will hold a working edge longer but most people say 154CM sharpens easier and faster for them so it's kind of a draw. I never let a knife get dull so I haven't found any difference in sharpening either. D2 will rust if you don't take care of it but 154CM will eventually rust if abused or neglected, it just takes it longer to do so. I'm no expert in steels so, other than in practical use, I can't offer any comment. I like both but I put more weight on a knife's design and ergonomics than the steel used.

And... yep, JD Bear, like a true knife knut getting both is always the solution. Enjoy!
