This one has sold. Thank you.
At a good customer's request, I tried my hand at heat-treating and working with 154CM Stainless. I was blown away by the results! The grind lines seem tighter, and the hardness is there. Since his request, I have made this large model IX in 154CM with G-10 handles. In some of the pictures, the color is a little off, but y'all know it's construction orange.

Here's the specs:
Model IX extra large
Serial 137.
5/32" 154CM Stainless Steel. Rockwells about 59-60.
Handles Orange G-10.
Black Fiber Liner.
Stainless Steel Pins/Lanyard hole.
Blade length 4 5/16".
Overall length 8 9/16".
Custom fitted Black leather sheath included.

I'm asking $135 for this one. Free shipping in the USA.

I see what you mean about those grind lines....

They seem a lot more defined and destinct.

To everyone else looking: Do not hesitate to buy this blade. His knives come sharper than any Spyderco I've ever handled and that's saying something! You will get an amazing blade for your money!

To eddie on the side: when would I have to contact you to get a blade delivered New Years week? ;)

Thank god someone got this first....Xmas season and all....I sure want another knife but don't need one. (I must be crazy saying that!)

Brother, good score! I debated with myself for a good long time whether to snag this knife...fact is, I have at least 4 other knives on order, so I held back. Took a LOT of will power! Enjoy!

Man I wish I were a hunter so I could use one of your beauties. They are sweet looking no nonsense knives and from what people say, they function as good as they look.

jimmo- look forward to hearing from you so soon again.

drd- you got it man. i'll shoot you an email.

thanks just to all of ya for all the looks and remarks. i'm always glad when I take on a customer's challenge, their ideal knife, even if I haven't worked with that material before, and make it happen.

Eddie,

We used it to cut up 4 fresh pineapples for Christmas dinner everyone one was impressed at how well the knife performed and felt in the hand.

I haven't been able to find our original post so that I can tell everyone how pleased I was by your changes at my request to the Model IX & how well it works for me & others that have tried it. I don't know how long it will
be until I get a chance to put it to real use & skin something, it will probably be a coyote, a friend that lives on 700 acres is sort of gimped up right now & some really bold coyotes are eating their egg laying chickens, he'd like us to shoot any of them we see.

Jerry,
Hey man! I don't know if we ever had an original post, I made this one just especially to fit your grip. Here's a picture for those who haven't seen it. Y'all this man has been through it all, forces of nature, US Postal hell, and yet he finds the time to tell you how much he enjoyed the blade. You are my hero, Jerry! You deserve a knife that fits! Thanks for everything.
Enjoy,
eddie

I'm new to this forum, and registered mainly to access Busse knives...

After looking around...I can see I'm going to go broke!

Beautiful work! I've never wanted a stag-handled knife in my life-til I seen the one on your homepage. I can see the wallet getting thin after only a few minutes on this site! (After I pay for all the Christmas guns and goodies of course!)

Great (practical) designs, and gorgeous work!

david from nc,
