Perhaps a coating of renaissance wax now that you got it cleaned up.

I will look into that thank you. I’ve been spraying it with gun oil every couple of days. Seems to be doing the trick

I live in the Philippines where 9 months a year it is between 80s and 90s and rains the other 3 months is 110 or more and moist im trying to find a knife with a good blade that will hold an edge. I go outside once a month I use the knife for food. Is 154cm better than n690?

I wouldn't say any steel is "better", but these should perform pretty similarly(assuming HT etc. is equal). N690 should be more corrosion resistant, so arguably a better choice for where you are.
