154CM Vanguard

I'd call it a basketweave. It does look a little different than what I've seen as standard basketweave. Jack does good work.

Bully,

I'd be real interested in what type of game you are hunting and skinning with that BPVanguard in Bulgaria?? I sold a pair to scope rings and mounts to a fellow in Italy and we got to talking about what hunting he did in Italy. He happened to be hell on wild hogs with a Browning BAR in 30.06. I'm assuming you have some good hog and deer hunting in Bulgaria?

Enjoy your Vanguard. I think it will do a very good job skinning whatever you take on your hunts and it will do it so for many many years.

Thank you Flatlander 1963 ! Yes you are right I mostly hunt on a wild European hogs / boars / but not the mixbreed. We have only pure breed wild European hogs in our countryside and a European ree deer, not a whitetail or a mule deer like yours of course. I`ve taken once a good size elk / bull / . Right now I`m using my Beretta Golden Ulrica 12/76 ga for the short distances shots. On my trips I ùsually take my other Vanguard Alaskian guide with S 30 V or a Dozier K-2 General pupose knife. These iterms are excellent performers for a skining and field dressing tasks. Vanguard is my favourite fixed blade Buck model, but I have a standart 119 and 105 too.
