I saw a lot of damascus using 15N20 (the swedish version of L6), but is this steel also used as knife blades? How it performs?

I've made hundreds of kitchen and fillet knives from 15n20.
Very good blade steel but only available in thin stock.

Excellent steel by itself or mixed with another, but it is more a Swedish version of 1075 (just add nickel) than it in any way resembles L6. I know that this is commonly said in knifemaking circles but if it were to lead somebody into heat treating it like L6 (which it has) or to simply replace it with L6 (which it has) the results could be frustrating to say the least.
