15N20 steel?

I put up a question in the General Discussion area and didn't get much input. Was just wondering how this steel is for a fixed blade knife. How does it compare to a steel like 1095? Assuming equally well done heat treats.

It is about the same as 1070 or 1080.

1070 with nickel and yes it will make a great fixed blade but it is hard to find thick stock.

The nickel adds toughness.

It's a great material. More "stainless" than a lot of stainless blade steels from my experience.

yeah, now that you mention it.. I've never seen any rust on my 15n20..
