After much work I have acquired a load of 15n20 blades from my place of employment. It is more then I will use so I would like to pass some of it on to you guys. I will be getting more later so if you guys take it all no big deal. I have it in 2 thicknesses, .075 & .090. The blades still have the uddeholm name on them so it's top quality 15n20. I have more .075 material then .09. The .09 material is a wider blade at 11" not including the teeth and the .075 is around 7" not including the teeth.

At this time I am not able to cut it to requested strip size for Damascus but will be offering this in the very near future I hope. This all depends on how the sales go because the money from this steel will go to buying a plasma cutter so I can cut it up into the sizes you want. Another options we have is if you want to pledge to buy a certain amount of cut lbs once I have the plasma cutter. Once enough demand/pledged demand is there then I will buy the plasma cutter and cut your steel and then collect your payments before shipping. I have no problem paying for the plasma cutter as long as I can see that the demand is there to warrant such a purchase.

I'm asking $4/LB for blade sections that will be cut so they fit in a game board size flat rate box. I will have to cut to a length of around 20-22" with around a 11" width after the teeth are cut off. If I'm able to pull off the flat rate box shipping it means I can ship 60lbs of steel for about $20-$25. I really want to ship to you for the cheapest price because I myself hate paying so much for shipping steel. Right now all cutting will be done with abrasive wheels till I can aquire the funds and see that the demand is there for a plasma cutter. When I'm able to cut into strips the price will be $5 a pound and will be cut to what ever width you want but if you want flat rate shipping then keep in mind the size limits of the boxes available.

Not clear about how much is in a box. How many pounds of the .09 blades will fit in a box?
Thanks
Jack

Well the goal is to fit up to 60lbs in a flat rate box. This way shipping is only around $20. I will be boxing up greenburgs box tonight or tomarow and will let you know how that goes. Flat rate should hold about 10 sheets of .09 and still be within the weight limit.

A full box with flat rate shipping @60lbs would be $260

Find a sheet metal outfit with a big shear. I have cut lots of these that way. It is awesome steel.

OK, I'd like a full box of the .09
Are you ready to sell this stuff now, or still just in the planning stage?
Jack

Ok guys started on your boxes of steel. A good bit of work but will get you guys steel till I can acquire my plasma cutter. But I can tell I'm going to need to do some canaster Damascus with all the teeth laying that I'm cutting off lol. Hoping to have your steel all cut tomarow.

Oh and the math came out perfect. Each sheet is cut to 11"+ wide and 22" long and weighs just over 6lbs each (6lb 6oz). I will put 10 sheats in each box which should be just perfect for weight. Man my mail lady is going to love me lol

What's the weight on 3 sheets (teeth on) of the 0.75? Or are you doing just full boxes? I can eat the shipping cost.

I have some of this steel from JT, no rust or cracks, and as he says "Uddeholmstrip" and the "Band Saw Steel" logo still visible here and there. Nice stuff!
I hope you sell enough to get that cutter soon, Jared! The angle grinder gets old.

On the .075 thick stuff I would not cut the teath off as it will fit in the box as is. Are you wanting it 22" long so it will fit in the flat rate box or just full length sheets? The as is sheets are between 50-60" long and a rough weight I can get you tomarow when I get up. But math says between 1.75-2lbs per foot of blade length.

Hey man, I'd like to get some 15N20 from you but can only afford $130-$140 worth at the moment. Would you be willing to sell that amount? If so, how much of the .09 stuff would that get me and what would be the dimensions?

My email is:. Jgordon83@hotmail.com

If you accept PayPal I can pay you today. Let me know, thanks!

Well on the .09 tuck stuff the math is rather stright forward. Each 11"x22" sheet weighs just over 6lbs so we just call it 6. If you want to spend 130-140 that would be sitting at 30lbs. 30lbs would be $120+$20 for shipping which is $140. If you went up to 36lbs you would be $144+$20shipping which is $164.
I'm heading to town today to get more abrasive wheels as it takes a lot more then I thought lol

I'll take 30lbs of the .090" for $140 shipped. What's your paypal address? I sent you an email.
